Living with Lyme disease can be a challenging journey, one that often feels like navigating through uncharted waters. The constant battle with symptoms, the uncertainty of treatment options, and the emotional toll it takes can be overwhelming. However, through the lens of personal experience, one can gain insight into the daily struggles, triumphs and lessons learned along the way.

One of the most challenging aspects of living with Lyme disease is the fluctuating nature of symptoms. This illness presents a variety of symptoms and affect people differently. From physical limitations to neurocognitive issues, each day can bring its own set of hurdles to overcome. Navigating life with Lyme is not easy...especially when you have busy schedules. I have learned to listen to my body and have accepted my new normal as this becomes crucial in managing my symptoms effectively. Treatment options for Lyme disease can also be a complex and controversial topic. As I share my journey, I go into detail what treatments work for me as I continue to battle and undergo treatment to this day. Finding the right treatment plan that works for you can be a daunting task. When I received my diagnosis of Neurological Lyme, my husband and I began to build my healthcare/medical team. We knew how important it was to build a team that would meet my needs and lifestyle. Consulting with knowledgeable healthcare providers and doing thorough research are essential steps in making informed decisions about your treatment journey.

Despite the challenges, navigating life with Lyme disease can also bring about moments of resilience and growth. Finding joy in small victories, practicing self-care, and maintaining a positive mindset can make a significant difference in coping with the ups and downs of the disease. I tell my boys all the time, attitude is everything! Life is about perspective and by sharing my journey, I hope to give you a glimpse into my world as I continue to navigate life with this debilitating disease. Let's dive in!
